Written in 1843, A Christmas Carol has become a popular Christmas story and one of the most loved works in the English language.  Few people know that Dickens also wrote and performed a sole theatrical version of his famous story for many years.  Now you can experience the laughter, tears and joy of the original with acclaimed actor John D. Huston as Charles Dickens.  Huston, formerly of Regina, is a veteran solo performer.  "Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol," now in its 18th annual Canadian tour, is his lovingly authentic reproduction of Dicken's performances, developed from Dickens' own script and working notes.  His remarkable performance has been described as "mesmerizing," "powerful" and "Christmas magic" by reviewers and audiences across the country.  Dickens loved the carols of Christmas, and there will be opportunities during the show to sing some favourites from Dickens' time still popular today.

Rediscover the magic of Christmas Past: come spend an evening with Scrooge, the Cratchits and, of course, Charles Dickens: a rare and enchanting holiday must-see!
