The Church of St Nicholas Kennell is nestled in the Qu'Appelle valley.
In this sparsely populated area the church is open June 1 through to the end of September. It is a beautiful prairie church in an outstanding area of Saskatchewan. The visitor book has over 1400 entries every year in its short season.
Apparently in 1910 the church moved from its previous location in the valley, and to do that, parishioners had to dissemble the church and carry it plank by plank to its current location where it was rebuilt. It was great to hear of the history of this church with those who came out in the heat of the afternoon.
