South Sudanese Dinka Language Camp

August 12-19, 2024

This camp is for ages 9-20.

Campers will experience traditional camp activities, including swimming, survival skill training, horseback riding, wall climbing, games, campfires, Christian worship and much more!

The camp fee is $50 per camper.  Once you register your camper, you will be provided with information about payment deadlines and other details.

Campers will sleep in bunk houses with others. Those under 18 will be supervised 24 hours a day by an adult.  There are washrooms and showers in a separate building on site, as well as a dining hall where meals will be provided.

Dinka language instruction will be provided during the week.  An outline of the program is below.

Transportation is available from Regina and Calgary to and from Camp Harding.

Campers will need the following items for the week (please label all items):

  • Twin sized fitted sheet, Sleeping bag or quilt and pillow *
  • Bath towel, toiletries
  • Any prescription medications
  • Flip flops to wear in the shower
  • Several changes of clothes, long pants for riding and for evenings
  • Several pairs of socks to wear inside the dining hall
  • Bathing suit and beach towel *
  • Running shoes
  • Rain jacket
  • Rubber boots with a heel for riding *
  • Hat
  • Water bottle
  • Back pack to carry items to the beach etc.
  • Warm jacket or hoodie
  • Sunscreen
  • Flashlight​
  • Bible, pen and notepad or journal
  • A sense of adventure!

Please DO NOT BRING:

  • Liquor, tobacco, e-cigarettes/vapes and other "drugs" are not allowed.
  • Campers are encouraged to leave cell phones and other valuables at home
