July 12-14, 2024 Camp Harding, Cypress Hills Provincial Park
Leaders: Rev. Jesse Miller and Rev. Christine Burton
Arrival: 7 p.m. on July 12, 2024
Departure: 2 p.m. on July 14, 2024
This camp will promote an awareness of and reverence for God and nature.
Families will move through lightly directed programming that will include prayer (morning and evening and Sunday Eucharist), as well as arts and crafts such Anglican bead making, mead making, and bread making, and locale-based activities such as scavenger hunts, simple survival skills, and friendly competitions, complemented by free time for orienteering and swimming.
The mediaeval element will be drawn in through the prayer times, some of the crafts and activities, and some of the food to be offered.
Families will be expected to join in the monastic lifestyle of shared work (cooking and cleaning).
This is a family camp suitable for all ages.
Meals will be planned as families register. Families can stay in a cabin, or bring their own tent(s), trailer. We have 2 electrical hookups on site for trailers. There is a washroom/shower building on site as well as a fully stocked kitchen.
