July 18-20, 2025
Cost: $50
Program Directors: Revs. Jesse Miller and Christine Burton
What can you expect?
Camp Harding is a beautiful location in Cypress Hills Provincial Park. The camp has four bunk houses, three staff cabins, a washroom and shower facility and a kitchen and dining hall. The camp has running, potable water and electricity. We also have a large fire pit and outdoor chapel.
Families are welcome to stay overnight in a bunkhouse, bring a tent or trailer (we are limited to 2 trailers on site at a time), or stay nearby at the Cypress Hills Lodge or in Maple Creek (20 minute drive). There are electrical hookups for trailers on site.
Each vehicle that enters the park must purchase a vehicle entry permit ($11 per day or $42 per week) so carpooling is recommended. Permits for vehicles with a senior (aged 65+) are free.
Join us on a Fun Family Pilgrimage! We’ll Prepare, Journey, Worship, and Return – and learn how each of these steps relates to our lifetime journey of faith, supported by crafts, activities, and story-telling.
Suitable for all ages and all stages of faith.
Families will share in preparation of meals.
On Friday evening, camper families will explore the question "Why do we make pilgrimages?" and prepare by making a hiking stick, trail mix (gorp), and a pilgrim symbol/crest.
On Saturday, families will have the opportunity to join in outdoor activities such as hiking and swimming. Leaders will facilitate a discussion around these experiences and how that links to our life’s journey and traveling with Jesus.
On Saturday evening, there will be storytelling and exploration of how we tell the stories of the Bible.
On Sunday morning, the group will worship and then return to regular life, changed by their pilgrimage experience.
We look forward to having your family for a weekend of fun and faith!
