Camp Harding

About Camp Harding

Camp Harding is situated in the beautiful Cypress Hills Provincial Park in Southwest Saskatchewan. The Cypress Hills are approximately 30 km Southwest of Maple Creek on Highway 21. This unique forest environment of lodge pole pine encourages the campers to grow spiritually and socially through appreciation of nature and Christian fellowship.

The camp has four cabins, each able to sleep eight to ten, plus two rustic cabins able to accomodate program leaders. In addition to the educational, spiritual and retreat programs operated by the Diocese of Qu'Appelle, activities avaliable in Cypress Hills park include, swimming at the pool, mini golf, games, horseback riding, beach activities, hiking, and strargazing.

Everyone has the ability to work for Jesus, to spread the gospel the way Christ intended. At Camp Harding we offer campers a unique opportunity for growth in faith while enjoying Christian fellowship and activities. We provide the opportunity for everyone to explore and share his or her gifts and learn how we can better serve God in our daily lives.

Cypress Hills

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is the first and only inter-provincial park in Canada. Rising up to 600 meters (1,970 ft) above the surrounding prairie, these hills and fescue grasslands represent the highest terrain between Labrador and the Rocky Mountains. For visitors, the steep rises, lush valleys and pine-scented breezes lend a mountain air to this prairie island.

Four distinct habitats and a climate more moderate than the prairies make this a park exceptionally rich in plant and animal life. Stately lodgepole pines embrace the higher elevations of the hills and grow nowhere else in Saskatchewan. Moose, elk, Nuttall's cottontail, white tailed deer, bobcat, red squirrel and mule deer make their home here and there have been rare sightings of cougar, as well.
