Dear friends:
Thank you very much for your generosity and contribution during the Lenten appeal for the construction of the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Training Centre in April 2024. The Diocese of Qu’Appelle raised a total $4,015 from the friends and parishes who participated in the fundraiser. Over a half of the donations came from the friends who know me personally in the Diocese and from beloved members of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church where I serve. I am humbled by your generosity and pray that God continues to use you and me for his mission to support the underprivileged servants for his mission in South Sudan.
We raised a total amount of $14,843.05, including fundraising revenue from the Southdove Training Services Inc. ($5,169) and two Lenten appeals from friends in the Diocese of Qu’Appelle ($4015) and the Diocese of Moray, Ross and Caithness ($5659.05). We incurred total expenses of $5,104.95, including $630 for fundraising hall rental on September 23, 2023; $52.09 for hall decoration for the tables and water for guests; $326.86 for StreamYard online annual registration in July 10, 2023; $540 for clearance of land and lawyer fees for charitable registration in Juba on March 15, 2024; $296 for signpost in Juba; and $3260 for laying of foundation stone and launching of project in Juba on April 21, 2024.
We currently have a total balance of $9,738.05 in the two accounts with the Southdove Training Services Inc. ($5976.16) and the Diocese of Qu’Appelle ($3761.94). We keep this balance for the next construction phase for the safety fence around the Centre in Juba.
The Bishop Nathaniel Garang Training Centre is one of the four charitable purposes and projects that the Southdove Training Services Inc. has initiated and continues to fund for the empowerment of the youth and clergy as future leaders through whom God may fulfill his mission for the world to have peace and justice.
Please see attached our Fall Newsletter for more information about the Southdove projects.
Your continued prayers and financial support will be highly appreciated.
Respectfully submitted:
