The May session will end with a service of commissioning.
Topics to be covered include: Understanding the role of the home visitor, the process and protocol of taking Communion to the sick and shut-in, in residences, hospital and Nursing Homes, communication skills, confidentiality, etiquette for visits, empathy, the art of listening, special communication skills when dealing with persons with visual, hearing, speech or cognitive impairments.
