July 3-7, 2017
Can there be anything better than summer camp where Grandparents are the leaders for their grandchildren?! GrandCamp (July 3-7), held at Briercrest College and Seminary, is the first camp of this kind in our Diocese and is shaping up to be a great week!
Speaker: Cavin Harper, Executive Director of the Christian Grandparenting Network in Colorado Springs (https://www.christiangrandparenting.net).
Cavin is an experienced speaker and trainer and author of the book “Courageous Grandparenting.” Cavin visited our Diocese in 2014 and ran Grandparent training in three different locations with a great response from participants.
Over the week, Cavin will lead interactive afternoon workshops designed to help Grandparents in the task of passing on the faith to their grandchildren. Cavin’s teaching is both practical and personal and he will share not only his successes but, with humility, his failures as well. Grandparents will really enjoy this part of the camp.
The week will consist of Christian fellowship/teaching times in the mornings, afternoon activities and/or crafts time while the grandparents have some special teaching time with Cavin. We will do the usual kind of summer camp activities such as going to the Caronport spray park, the MJ pool, outdoor BBQ, games, singing, campfires etc.
